Norangel Alvarez is a Venezuelan illustrator and gallery coordinator based in Georgia, blending semi-realism and anime influences to create dynamic, expressive, and impactful visual storytelling.

Norangel Alvarez is a Venezuelan illustrator and multidisciplinary creative based in Georgia. Her work is defined by a semi-realistic style infused with anime influences, where dynamic poses, refined compositions, and expressive storytelling take center stage. Through this unique fusion, she creates artwork that resonates emotionally while balancing fine art techniques with contemporary illustration. Norangel holds a Bachelor’s in Mass Communication from Fermín Toro University, a Master’s in Editorial and Advertising Illustration from LABASAD Barcelona School of Arts and Design, and a Digital Marketing Science Certificate from Kennesaw State University. This academic foundation allows her to merge creativity with strategy, producing art that is not only visually striking but also communicative and engaging. She currently serves as Gallery Coordinator, Head of Marketing & Graphic Design, and Board Member at the Suwanee Arts Center in Gwinnett, Georgia. In this role, she curates exhibitions, coordinates cultural events, designs marketing campaigns, and mentors artists in digital tools. Her efforts have contributed to significant growth in the center’s community reach and engagement, expanding opportunities for local and emerging artists. Since 2016, Norangel has also managed her own independent art practice, producing more than 50 commissions including portraits, character designs, and editorial pieces. She has exhibited her work in multiple galleries and festivals across Georgia and Venezuela, and in 2024 published The Art of Norangel, her first personal art book featuring original illustrations and character designs. Her dedication has been recognized with awards such as 3rd Place in the Mosaic Exhibit and the People’s Choice Award at the Winter Exhibit in Suwanee. She has also been featured in Suwanee Magazine, Voyage Atlanta, Shoutout Atlanta, I Love Suwanee, and other press outlets highlighting her impact as both an artist and cultural advocate.
